Check out the Bike Month 2026 events and rides!
Join the Humboldt Bike Challenge!
Compete against your own individual goals, join a community team, or rally your co-workers! The goal is to get in the habit of riding a bicycle to get places, and enjoy the process. Log trips on Love to Ride to be eligible for Bike Month prizes, nationally and locally. And, hey, did you know? Riding on stationary bikes count, too! Brought to you by Love to Ride and locally the Humboldt County Association of Governments.
Sign up for the Bike Month Challenge through the web – simply create a free account on the Love to Ride website at lovetoride.net/humboldt. You can sync with Strava or another fitness app to track your miles, or manually log your rides. There are prizes up for grabs for anyone that logs a ride, and even more can be won if someone encourages others to join!
The Love To Ride app has a new “Rate My Route” feature, where users can show how comfortable they felt on different streets and paths. However, in Humboldt we think it’s even better to use Street Story to inform local agencies on how and where to improve bicycling and walking infrastructure.
